Finding Peace Within evolved from Elisha's experience working with survivors of sex trafficking. Since 2008, she has dedicated herself to offering trauma sensitive services, that culminated in a gender specific, trauma-responsive curriculum entitled I Believe in Me. Shared with over 5000 trauma survivors. This work weaves together trauma sensitive yoga, mindfulness, creative art expression, psychoeducation and teachings about the impact of systemic oppression to build resilience, self-awareness and self-respect.
Her work has been featured on the Today show, and she now offers trainings and services dedicated to empowering female survivors of domestic violence.
Elisha is a member of the Westchester County Department of Mental Health Trauma Subcommittee that provides education in trauma informed capacity for executives to lead thoughtfully within their organization. It’s all I looked forward to. It keeps me in a positive mind even though I’m in jail and it makes me feel like I’m in a different environment when I’m doing it.
